“UMPIRES”
Volunteer Umpires are the Heart of Hatboro Little League
Hatboro Little League is a volunteer organization that relies solely on dedicated individuals who volunteer their time and talents to provide the children who play baseball and softball with the framework to develop the traits of character, courage, and loyalty, which they will need to acquire to become effective leaders and to succeed in the world of tomorrow.
The Role of the Volunteer Umpire
Volunteer umpires serve a vital role by administering the game in accordance with the spirit and intent of Little League rules. Umpires provide the framework for managers and coaches to develop each player’s abilities on the field. Umpires are positive role models who seek to create a wholesome experience for managers, coaches, players, and their families.
We Can’t Have a Little League Game Without an Umpire
IF YOU ARE A MANAGER, COACH, OR PARENT whose children are no longer playing Little League, “STAY IN THE GAME” and volunteer to umpire.
IF YOU ARE AN ADULT and have a passion for baseball and/or softball, and enjoy being a role model for today’s youth, “GET IN THE GAME” and volunteer to umpire.
IF YOU ARE A JUNIOR OR SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL, OR A COLLEGE
STUDENT and are looking to become a better player, or are interested in obtaining on-the-field experience to acquire skills that can benefit you in choosing a field of study or career, “TAKE CHARGE OF THE GAME” and volunteer to umpire.
